The story behind the music
Inspiration
Inspired by the hilarious mishaps of holidaymakers at Pontins Prestatyn Sands, where Leo works as a Bluecoat entertainer. The idea comes from a simple comedy sketch about a holidaymaker frantically searching for his missing chalet key, blaming everyone and everything around him, while the answer has been right under his nose all along. With Leo's sense of humour, an acoustic guitar and an audience eager to join in, a silly everyday situation becomes an unforgettable holiday singalong.
What it means
A lively, cheeky acoustic comedy song bursting with British seaside holiday humour. In Your Pocket captures the wonderfully chaotic atmosphere of a packed holiday camp ballroom, where the entertainer delivers the jokes and the audience already knows the punchline. Built around a catchy call-and-response chorus, playful storytelling and plenty of opportunities for laughter, the song celebrates the ridiculous little moments that make a family holiday memorable. It's the kind of tune that has everyone from children to grandparents shouting the answer back at the stage, long before the singer finishes the question. Sometimes the best entertainment comes from the simplest joke and an audience that refuses to stay quiet.
